iOS 18 is the big Apple’s upcoming operating system for iPad and iPhone this year, 2024, and most people are waiting for it. This new operating system is being awaited and most of the updates will be done mostly in the month of September. This update is geared to have some integration of AI improvements, new updates on messaging, and RCS support updates.
When will it be released?
Based on the previous updates, we can comfortably say that Apple will release the iOS 18 in the month of September because of the products released by Apple this month. For example, the release of iPhone was released in the same month apart from iPads, MacBooks,s and iOS.
What are the features that you know about the upcoming new release?
AI improvements and Siri
In the upcoming new updates about iOS 18, we expect to have some modifications and more emphasis on AI since we are living in a world where more emphasis is now on AI integration in most appliances and gadgets. According to Gurman, Apple will not debut from its own generating AI chatbot.
Another area we think will have an effect is the new wave of Artificial Intelligence features that will be added on the iOS 18 to incorporate companies like OpenAI, Google, and Baidu with the aim of getting AI partnerships.
Updates on messaging and RCS
We expect some modification which will enhance better communication between iOS users and Android users. This is because Apple confirmed that it will integrate and adopt the Rich Communication Services ( RCS) messaging updates this year. Since we expect iOS to be released in this year on September, then this messaging service is set to be used to enable communication between Android and iOS devices.

There is also a possibility that Apple in iOS 18 will roll out “an adaptive voice shortcut” such as launching a customized link that accesses some of the features to be used for a particular purpose.
The last area that we expect in the new iOS 18 is the new features, especially in the Apple Maps. Some of the expected changes in the maps section are improved topographical maps and Custom Routes.
